ALBANY, N.Y. (Aug. 26, 2026) — The Short Version, UAlbany's short podcast about all interesting things, begins its third season this week by exploring social media's uncanny, and sometimes unhealthy, hold on our attention.
In this week's season premiere, Erin Frick talks to Assistant Professor of Psychology Sarah Domoff about what problematic social media use looks like, especially among teens, and what can be done about it. It's the first of two episodes to start the season about how technology can supercharge addictive behaviors in all of us. Next week, we examine problem gambling.
