窄线塞弗特1星系是一类中心黑洞质量相对较小、吸积率较高的活动星系核。此前发现的伽马射线辐射的窄线塞弗特1星系大多具有强射电喷流,而射电宁静的窄线塞弗特1星系能否产生显著的高能辐射,仍是天体物理学中的前沿问题。邻近星系1H 1934−063具有快速变化的X射线辐射且射电辐射较弱,为研究此类活动星系核的高能活动提供了重要样本。
近期,中国科学院云南天文台等研究团队利用费米伽马射线空间望远镜长期观测数据,在射电宁静窄线塞弗特1星系1H 1934−063方向发现伽马射线超出。
The research team analyzed费米伽马射线空间望远镜Observational data accumulated from August 2008 to July 2025 found that the most obvious gamma ray enhancement in the direction of this object occurred in MJD 58788-59031. In the 1-500GeV energy band, the exceeded test statistic is 27.12, corresponding to a significance of about 5.2σ. The positioning result is consistent with the radio position of 1H 1934-063, while the adjacent gamma ray source did not increase significantly during the same period.Further analysis shows that the main signals are concentrated in the energy band of about 8-63GeV.
多波段能谱分析表明,同步辐射和同步自康普顿辐射难以单独解释观测到的硬伽马射线成分,引入外康普顿辐射后可以进行现象学描述。由于缺乏同时期多波段观测,目前尚不能确定其具体起源,日冕中的非热粒子、短暂弱喷流或其他局域高能活动均有可能作出贡献。该发现为揭示射电宁静活动星系核产生伽马射线的物理机制提供了新线索。
