Concussions remain one of the most complex injuries to evaluate in sports. Fatigue, concentration problems, headaches, anxiety: the symptoms vary from one person to another and make the return to play sometimes difficult to manage.

A research team based at the University of Montreal, in collaboration with Collège Montmorency, wanted to better understand what happens in the brains of athletes before and after a concussion, and to see if these brain signatures differ depending on the sex of the athletes.
